The Nasivvik Centre for Inuit Health and Changing Environments reminds
the Arctic community that the deadline for the 2015 Strategic Grants
Initiative Request for Proposals is Friday, 30 January 2015.

Part of Nasivvik Centre's mandate involves the support of research
projects by providing complementary funding. The 2015 RfP is for small
strategic grants to support the development, conduction, and completion
of research projects, the communication and publication of research
results, and the creation of educational materials. All projects and
activities must be in the field of Inuit environment and health issues
and be working directly with an Inuit community and/or organization.
Projects led by or engaging the regional Inuit Research Advisor in the
appropriate region are strongly encouraged and will be given preferences
for funding.

Applicants can apply to the 2015 Strategic Grants Initiative under one
of the following three different priority areas:

- Priority 1: Seed funding / Research planning grant (Awards
up to $10,000)
- Priority 2: Student project completion (Awards up to $5,000)
- Priority 3: Research results communication, publication and
development of educational materials (Awards up to $5,000)

The RfP is open to international applicants, however the funds must go
to a Canadian university. Therefore international applicants must be
involved in a program doing research with Inuit in Canada, in
conjunction with a Canadian research team. A Canadian researcher should
serve as the principal applicant.

Application deadline: Friday, 30 January 2015.
