The Integrated Marine Biogeochemistry and Ecosystem Research (IMBER)
Regional Program, entitled Ecosystem Studies of Sub-Arctic Seas (ESSAS),
will hold an Open Science Meeting 22-26 May 2011 in Seattle, Washington.
The theme of the meeting is "Comparative studies of climate effects on
polar and sub-polar ocean systems: progress in observation and
prediction."
Marine scientists, economists, and social scientists interested in high
latitude marine systems and their response to climate change are urged
to register and submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations. The
deadline for early registration, abstract submission, and application
for financial support for early career scientists is Saturday, 15
January 2011. Please note that this is a firm deadline.
