ARCUS supports increased understanding of the changing Arctic by building strong relationships between the many stakeholders and disciplines—from researchers to the public, from policymakers to industry. The Arctic is a fascinating and important region, and its import is rapidly expanding across the entire world.
The U.S. is an Arctic nation and Alaskans are particularly vested, but the Arctic's reach extends far beyond those of us who live here. Sea ice and glaciers, fisheries, oil and mineral exploration, the ecosystems housed by the Arctic's vast land and marine spaces: these all have important implications for the rest of America and the world at large.
We play a neutral, science-based role here at ARCUS; we do not lobby, advocate for specific policies (other than for Arctic research investment itself), or play favorites regarding what research or scientific issues get our focus. If you have interest in the Arctic, ARCUS is an excellent choice of organization for your donation.
We rely solely on grants, membership dues, and donations to implement our programs. ARCUS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
The staff at ARCUS would like to convey our sincere thanks that you are considering a donation to our efforts. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any one of us: http://www.arcus.org/arcus/staff.
