We will be pleased to welcome you from 23 June to 01 July 2018 at the foot of the Mont Blanc for the 5th European Conference On Permafrost (EUCOP5). Three exciting days of plenary lectures, oral presentations and posters will be completed by two breathtaking days of local field trips in the Mont Blanc massif. Three scenic two-day-long field trips in the Aosta Valley (Italy), Valais (Switzerland) and Ecrins massif (France) will close the conference.
This will be a joint conference with IASC (International Arctic Science Committee), hosted by the Swiss Committee on Polar and High Altitude Research in Davos, Switzerland. The Conference will include SCAR, IASC and other business and satellite meetings, an Open Science Conference and the SCAR Delegates' Meeting.
The Rovaniemi Arctic Spirit Conference is pleased to announce that our biannual Arctic conference will be held on 14–16 November 2017 in Lappia Hall, Hallituskatu 11, 96100 Rovaniemi.
Rovaniemi Arctic Spirit 2017 provides the most important Arctic forum in Finland 2017, at the beginning of the Finnish chairmanship of the Arctic Council. It is also held only a few weeks before Finland celebrates its 100 years of independence.
The conference is organized by the City of Rovaniemi, the University of Lapland and its Arctic Centre, together with the Arctic Society of Finland.
