    Inuvialuit Settlement Region

The Inuvialuit Settlement Region Database now describes more than 10,000
publications and research projects about the Inuvialuit Settlement
Region (ISR) in Canada's Northwest Territories and Yukon. The database
can be accessed at: http://www.aina.ucalgary.ca/isr.

The database covers all subjects and includes the land and marine areas
of the ISR. Publications of all types, especially grey literature, are
included. More than 2,000 database records have URL or DOI links to PDF
files of online publications. The database's coverage of research
projects is based on information from the five Canadian territorial and
federal agencies that license research in the ISR.

The Inuvialuit Settlement Region Database is maintained by the Joint
Secretariat - Inuvialuit Renewable Resource Committees and the Arctic
Institute of North America's Arctic Science and Technology Information
System (ASTIS), and is funded by Shell Canada Limited and MGM Energy
Corporation.

  1. New Listserve and Networking Site Available
    SeaNET

The Alaska Center for Ocean Sciences Education Excellence (COSEE)
announces the availability of a new listserve and networking site,
called SeaNET. The site can be accessed at: http://www.coseealaska.net.

SeaNET is a networking site for scientists, educators, science
communicators, and Alaskan coastal community members. It promotes
Alaskan marine and climate change literacy and will provide regular
postings of 'Caught in the News Net,' a compilation of Alaska's ocean
climate change news, resources, and calendar items related to science
outreach and educational and professional training opportunities.
Members of the networking site can create and participate in forums and
sub-groups.

COSEE-Alaska is a National Science Foundation (NSF) -funded program that
focuses on outreach and education about Alaska's ocean climate change
from perspectives of science and Alaskan Native knowledge.

  1. New Web Portal Available
    ArcticData

The Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna (CAFF) and Protection of the
Arctic Marine Environment (PAME) working groups of the Arctic Council
announce a new web portal called ArcticData. The portal is available at:
http://www.arcticdata.is/.

The aim of the web portal is to make data generated through the
activities of CAFF and PAME more readily available. The site is in its
initial stages and data will be added as it becomes available. If you
have questions, comments, or data you would like made available on the
ArcticData site, please email: data [at] arctic.is.
