The Sea-ice Experiment: Dynamic Nature of the Arctic (SEDNA) Group
announces a special meeting to discuss future sea ice camp
opportunities: "Ice Camp 2011: Preliminary Meeting." The meeting will be
held from 6:30-8:30pm on Sunday, 14 December 2008, in the San Francisco
Marriott, Pacific Room A. The meeting coincides with the American
Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting, being held 15-19 December 2008, in
San Francisco, California.
A specific focus of this meeting will be the spring 2011 ice camp,
planned for deployment in the Alaskan Beaufort Sea. It is desirable for
the ice camp to support a wide range of unclassified, civilian, research
activities, including (but not limited to) the investigation of
biological, ocean, ice, and atmospheric properties and processes.
The Marriott is located one block from the AGU sessions at the Moscone
