The University-National Oceanographic Laboratory System (UNOLS) Arctic
Icebreaker Coordinating Committee (AICC) seeks a new committee member.
AICC especially encourages applicants and nominees with Chemical
Oceanography expertise. Icebreaker or high latitude experience is
required. All members are appointed by the UNOLS Chair, based on
recommendation from the AICC and in concurrence with the UNOLS Council.
Membership is expected to begin in the winter of 2008/2009.
AICC provides scientific oversight and advice to US Coast Guard
icebreakers (HEALY, POLAR SEA, and POLAR STAR) and the National Science
Foundation Office of Polar Programs. AICC strives to maintain
institutional and scientific breadth.
Applications and nominations, including a brief letter of interest and
current CV, should be submitted by Friday, 1 August 2008. Applications
