Abstracts for paper and poster presentations are now being accepted for
"National Parks and Public Lands in the North", a special session to be
held at the 2008 AAAS Arctic Science Conference in Fairbanks, Alaska on
Monday, 15 September 2008. All topics related to national parks and
public lands in northern climates are encouraged to apply. This
interdisciplinary session will feature papers discussing all aspects of
how science, development, art, and culture interact with and occur on
public land.
The 2008 Arctic Science Conference theme is "Growing Sustainability
Science in the North: The Resilience of the People in the Arctic" and it
will be held at the Westmark Hotel in Fairbanks, Monday-Wednesday, 15-17
