Montana Tech, of The University of Montana, invites applications for a
Postdoctoral fellow in remote sensing in hydrology and/or ecology,
funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) for 1 to 3 years.
Responsibilities include: 1) large remote sensing data processing,
retrieving, and analysis on a watershed scale; 2) spatial analysis for
hydro-ecological studies and interdisciplinary synthesis of research
findings from using long-term remote sensing data; 3) providing cyber
tools for internet access to remote sensing and Geographical Information
System (GIS) database results from the above two tasks.
Experience in large, remote sensing, data processing and retrieving on a
watershed scale, and GIS applications (spatial analysis and GIS-based
cyber tools that facilitate internet access to remote sensing and GIS
data) is preferred. Strong data analysis capability and programming
skills are required. Applicants must have good written and verbal
communication skills will publish his/her research results.
