The deadline for submission of abstracts and applications for IASC
travel grants for early career scientists for the SCAR/IASC IPY Open
Science Conference has been extended to Friday, 15 February 2008. Hosted
by the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) and
International Arctic Science Committee (IASC), the conference will be
held on 8-11 July 2008, in St. Petersburg, Russia, under the theme,
"Polar Research: Arctic and Antarctic Perspectives in the International
Polar Year."
Conference attendees are advised to register before Tuesday, 1 April
2008, to benefit from the early bird registration fee.
