The 2007 Stefansson Memorial Lecture, "Interdisciplinary Explorations in
the Climate, History, and Human Ecology of Northern Iceland," will be
presented by climate historian Astrid Ogilvie on Wednesday, 7 November
2007, at the University of Akureyri, Iceland. Ogilvie is Research Fellow
at the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research (INSTAAR), University of
Colorado and Senior Associate Scientist at the Stefansson Arctic
Institute in Akureyri.
Cosponsored by the University of Akureyri and Rannis - The Icelandic
Centre for Research, the 2007 lecture is a contribution to the
International Polar Year and is open to the public.
