In recognition of the International Polar Year 2007-2008, "Emerging
Infectious Diseases" is soliciting papers on new and reemerging
infectious diseases in arctic and Antarctic regions and on the influence
of events in polar regions on disease emergence around the world.
Manuscripts will be peer reviewed and may describe original research or
provide scientific or historical review on an infectious disease
emergence topic relating to polar areas. Manuscripts intended for
publication in this January 2008 IPY theme issue must be submitted by 1
September 2007.
