The Arctic Research Consortium of the U.S. (ARCUS), a science planning
and education non-profit located in Fairbanks, Alaska, seeks an
energetic and creative team member to provide coordination to the ARCSS
Program Science Management Office (SMO).
Funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the ARCSS Program is an
interdisciplinary research effort to understand the fundamental
characteristics, dynamics, and controlling principles of the arctic
system, as well as changes occurring within that system. This position
provides an exciting opportunity work with closely with ARCUS staff,
NSF, relevant committees, and the research community to define
priorities and implementation strategies for the ARCSS Program. Tasks
will include program coordination, meeting planning, publication
development, and other high-level management tasks. The successful
candidate will have knowledge of multidisciplinary arctic research and
excellent project management skills. A Masters degree or higher in a
scientific or related field is required. Salary DOE.
