The National Science Foundation (NSF) invites attendance at the following two events that will take place during the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting in Washington, D.C. 10-14 December 2018:
National Science Foundation Arctic Sciences Section Town Hall
The Arctic Sciences Section of the Office of Polar Programs (OPP) at NSF will be hosting a Town Hall during the AGU 2018 Fall Meeting. The Town Hall will convene 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Monday, 10 December 2018 at the Cambria Hotel Washington D.C. Convention Center (899 O Street NW), Duke Ellington Room 1 in Washington D.C.
During this Town Hall, Office of Polar Programs’ Arctic Sciences Section program directors will provide an overview of staffing changes, program updates, upcoming NSF opportunities of interest to Arctic scientists, and other topics. There will be a brief presentation by NSF staff, with time set aside for audience questions and discussion.

American Geophysical Union (AGU) Conference – Pose questions to OPP staff about Antarctic Infrastructure Modernization for Science
Stephanie Short, who heads OPP’s Antarctic Infrastructure and Logistics (AIL) Section, and Ben Roth, AIL facilities engineering projects manager, will be available on Wednesday, 12 December from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time to discuss and answer questions about the Antarctic Infrastructure Modernization for Science (AIMS) project.
