The U.S. Permafrost Association (USPA) invites applications for several funding grants and awards.
The following grants and awards are included in this call for applications:
AGU 2024 Travel Grants:
- AGU 2024 Travel Grant from the Permafrost Engineering Education Program (PEEP)
- Amount: up to 3 awards, $500 each
- Eligibility: Students and early career professionals in engineering.
- AGU 2024 Travel Grant from the USPA-PYRN Educational Fund (UPEF)
- Amount: up to 3 awards, $500 each
- Eligibility: Students in permafrost science.
- Andrew Slater Memorial Award
- Amount: 1 award, $500
- Eligibility: Graduate students and postdocs in permafrost modeling.
Other Awards:
Family Care Program Caregiver Award (applications for winter- spring fieldwork also accepted)
- Amount: up to 2 awards, $500 each
- Eligibility: Caregivers (elder, child, etc.)
Erwin "Erv" Long Memorial Award
- Amount: 1 award, $3000
- Eligibility: Undergraduate and graduate students in permafrost engineering.
