Dear Colleague,
Building Partnerships In Polar Research and Education, the report from the Arctic Science Education Workshop is now available. The educational potential of facilitating partnerships in polar science led ARCUS to organize a workshop held in New Orleans in April 1997 to stimulate communication on these important issues and develop recommendations for future action. The resulting report outlines the need for research-education partnerships to develop curricula based in arctic research for K-12 classrooms and to bring current research activities into classrooms in arctic communities.
